Kerala Tourism to Introduce Cruise Ships for Travellers

Soon, travellers can board a cruise ship by Kerala Tourism that will connect Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode.

What does Kerala remind you of? Must be the beaches, backwaters and the lush and pristine environs. But very soon, that notion is about to change. At least Kerala Tourism is doing its bit to ensure that. According to a report by Travel Biz Monitor, Kerala Tourism is planning to launch a cruise tourism project that will connect Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode.

The project will be carried out by the state’s tourism board in partnership with a Dubai-based investor and is expected to commence in the next couple of months’ time. This might help in bringing about a change in the way we usually look at Kerala as a travel destination. Think about it, looking at the sun setting down behind the sea, or its waves touching the shore, we often wish we could go out and spend some time in the middle of that wide expanse of water. This might soon turn into a reality if this project turns into a reality.

In fact, this is not the only cruise tourism project that is in the pipeline. There’s another one by Kerala Tourism waiting to be launched sometime soon, and will connect the ports of Kochi, Colombo and Maldives.
