Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life ; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner and proceed to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi

DELHI The majestic capital city New Delhi and you soar high, feeling the attraction of the surroundings. The India Gate pays deference to the soldiers who laid their lives for India in the Afghan war. The Raj Ghat glorifies the memories of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Morning after breakfast we will take you for a tour of Old Delhi. The colorful history of Old Delhi which goes back thousands of years. Visit Chandni Chowk---Silver Square (Once the centre of Delhi), visit Jama Masjid- India first largest mosque, and The Red Fort (Delhi's most magnificent monument was built by Emperor Shah Jehan.Some of the buildings it encloses are Diwani-am,Diwani-Khas, Rang Mahal,The Pearl Mosque etc. Afternoon Rashtrapati Bhawan (is the official residence of the President of India. Formerly the residence of the Viceroy of India, it has a magnificient view of the Rajpath and symmetrical North and South block Govt offices) and India Gate (is a majestic high arch,42 metres high, built as a memorial to the Indian Soldiers killed in world war 1).Also pay a visit to The Qutab Minar (The 72.5m high tower dates back to the 13th century and is one of the greatest bequests of the Islamic culture). Day 03: Delhi - Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra .On arrival check in at the Hotel AGRA Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the world-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal empire, of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. Agra Fort, his great monument of red sandstone dominating a bend in the river Yamuna, 2km northwest of Taj Mahal was constructed by the Mughals during 1565-1571. It was Emperor Akbar who laid the foundation of this majestic citadel in 1565. The fort was ready by 1571 period of Shahjahan, Akbar's grandson. Evening free at leisure Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Agra- Fatehpur Sikri- Jaipur

Early morning sunrise view of Taj Mahal, Taj Mahal of India - "the epitome of love", "a monument of immeasurable beauty". The thoughts that come into the mind while watching the Taj Mahal of Agra is not just its phenomenal beauty, but the immense love which was the reason behind its construction. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan got this monument constructed in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, with whom he fell in love at the first sight. Further proceed to Jaipur JAIPUR Jaipur was born when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, a Kacchawa Rajput decided to build a royal city that would serve as the capital of his kingdom in Amber. The Mughals bestowed Jai Singh with the title of Sawai that means 'the one who knows all' En route visit Fatehpur Sikri (40 kms west of Agra, is built a city predominantly in Red Sandstone and is called Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar during 1570 and 1585. It is one of the finest examples of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture On arrival check in at Hotel . Day 05: Jaipur

Morning after breakfast we will take you to a guided excursion to Amer Fort (The classical romantic Rajasthan Fort palace. It's construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by his descendant Jai Singh I. Its rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate refinement.Painted scenes of hunting and war adorn the walls with precious stones and mirrors set into the plaster.Also enjoy Elephant Ride while climbing up atop of the hill of Amer Fort. Afternoon sight seeing includes visits to The City Palace (In the heart of the old city, it occupies a large area divided into a series if courtyards, gardens & buildings. It's a blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. A portion of which has been converted into museum housing royal artifacts art, carpets, enamelware & old weapons) and Jantar Mantar (or observatory built by the astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh. It is the largest and the best preserved of the 5 he built). Evening explore the colourful markets of Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaipur- Udaipur

Exclusive Boat Ride
Morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic airport to board flight to Udaipur. Shikhar Travels representative will receive you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Evening enjoy your Boat Ride at Pichola Lake (With breathtaking scenic beauty, The Lake Pichola is surrounded by hills, embankments, bathing ghats, shrines and palaces. The lake was expended further by Maharana Udai Singh II after he founded the city.Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Udaipur

Morning after a relaxed breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Udaipur City. Visit The City Palace (The magnificent palace started by Maharana Udai Singh II and completed in a long time lag is the largest palace complex of Rajasthan. Built in glittering granite and marble it majestically towers high on the Pichola Lake)...Saheliyon - Ki- Bari (Saheliyon ki Bari or Garden for the Maids of Honour of the queen, has beautiful fountains, pools with delicately chiseled kiosks and elephants in marble. There is a delightful Lotus pool and a sitting room decorated with paintings and glass mosaics too)... Evening, we will take you for a round of Fateh Sagar Lake (This artificial lake was built in 1678 by Maharana Jai Singh. After heavy rains destroyed it the reconstruction took place under the guidance of Maharana Fateh Singh). Later back to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 08: Udaipur- Mumbai

Morning after an early breakfast, you will be transferred to airport to board flight to Mumbai. Shikhar Travel's representative will receive you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Afternoon we will take you to a guided tour of the Caves of The Elephanta Island (The Elephanta Caves are a complex of Shiva temple caves on Elephanta Island, an hour-long ferry ride from Mumbai (Bombay), India. A visit to Elephanta Island, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, is a worthy destination in itself, and it also provides a view of the city's skyline from the water and a welcome escape from the chaos of Mumbai's streets. The hour-long ferry ride provides a good introduction to Hinduism, as the guides on board describe the religious significance of what you're about to see. Evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09: Mumbai Departure

Morning after a relaxed breakfast proceed for a half day city tour covering FLORA FOUNTAIN (This is the very heart of Mumbai, circumscribed by stately colonial buildings that stand like proud old sentinels of a bygone era. HANGING GARDENS (Perched at the top of Malabar Hill, on its western side, just opposite the Kamala Nehru Park, these terraced gardens, also known as Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens, provide lovely sunset views over the Arabian Sea. MARINE DRIVE (A stroll down Marine Drive is possibly the best way to discover Mumbai. This is a windswept promenade, flanked by the sea and a row of art deco buildings. Evening time free for shopping In time transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
