Bhagirathi II, III, and I (left to right, 6512m, 6454m, and 6856m), from the West .The highest peak of the Bhagirathi Group forms a complex and topographically complicated massif. Bhagirathi Parbat has three major peaks. It stands at and dominates the end of the valley leading up to Gaumukh which is the end of the Gangotri Glacier and the source of the river Ganga. The upper part of the river Ganga is also called Bhagirathi, and both the mountain and the river are named after King Bhagirath.

Programme Schedule


Day 1 Arrive Delhi.
Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 : Delhi
Morning visit I.M.F. for briefing and to clear all the formalities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi – Rishikesh
Morning after breakfast drive down (225 kms) to reach Rishikesh. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel for the overnight stay. Rest of the day free for leisure activities.

Day 4: Rishikesh – Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Uttarkashi.Afternoon arrive Uttarkashi and check in at hotel.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri
Morning after breakfast drive (90 kms) to reach Gangotri (3048 mt) by covering approx 90 km in 4-5 hrs. Upon arrival check-in at the in at the Guest House. Afternoon free to relax & get acclimatized. In the evening visit Gangotri Temple.

Day 6: Gangotri – Bhojbasa
Morning after breakfast start first days trek to Bhojbasa(3800 mt.) following the river Bhagirathi on right bank by covering approx 14 kms in 4-5 hrs. Trek is full of fascinating Himalayan sights and you can have beautiful views of snow capped peaks around.Upon arrival at Bhojbasa, set up camp for overnight stay.

Day 7: Bhojbasa – Gaumukh – Nandanvan
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Gaumukh; The Source of Ganges'. The river Bhagirathi emerges from the Gangotri Glacier at Gaumukh.Continue trekking to reach Nandanvan (4200mt).The whole distance of 10 kms takes 4 -5 hrs. Arrive at the Camp for night stay.

Day 8: Nandanvan – Base Camp
Morning after breakfast start trek (8 km/ 3- 4 hrs) to reach Base Camp(4200mt). Arrive and set the camp for overnight stay.
Day 9 to Day 29: Establish Higher Camps And Attempt Peak. Overnight in Tents.
Day 30: Base Camp – Bhojbasa Morning after breakfast windup Base Camp and trek to Bhojbasa covering 20 kms in 5 hrs. Arrive Bhojbasa and set the camp for overnight stay.

Day 31: Bojbasa – Gangotri
Morning after breakfast trek to reach Gangotri by covering apoox 14 kms in 4 hrs. Arrive Gangotri and check in at guest house for overnight stay.

Day 32 : Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Uttarkashi by covering appox 95 kms 4 hrs. Enroute visit Ganganani Hot Springs. Continue to reach Uttarkashi. Arrive and check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 33 : Uttarkashi – Rishikesh
Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check-into the hotel for overnight stay

Day 34: Rishikesh – Delhi
Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi and upon arrival check-into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 35: Depart Delhi
Morning after breakfast visit to IMF for debriefing. Rest of the day free for independent activity. Later transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
