Mt Nun Expedition (7135 mt)

 
The area most frequented by foreign climbers is the Nun-Kun Massif in the Great Himalayan Range. Its easy accessibility from the Kargil-Pudum road and the shortest possible approach march to the base camps makes this massif the most attractive climbing destination in the Great Himalaya, Among its six known peaks accessible from the Suru Valley, Nun (7,135m) and Kun (7,077m) are the highest summits

Programme Schedule


Day 1 : Arrive Delhi.
Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 : Delhi
Morning visit I.M.F. for briefing and clear all the formalities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 : Delhi - Leh
In the morning transfer to Domestic Airport to take flight for Leh. .Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 : LEH
Day free for high altitude acclimatization Overnight stay at hotel

Day 5 : Leh – Kargil
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Kargil enroute visit Lamayuru Monastery which is one of the oldest and most impressive Monastery in Ladakh. Upon arrival check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6: Kargil - Tangol
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Tangol (3200mt). Report to Police on arrival at Phanikhar. Proceed to reach Tangol and overnight stay in tents.

Day 7: Tangol – Base Camp
Morning after breakfast start trekking (10 kms) to reach Base Camp (4500 mt). Establish Base Camp. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 8 to 33 Days
Establish Higher Camps And Attempt Peak. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 33: Base Camp – Tangol – Kargil
Morning after breakfast windup Base Camp and trek down to reachTangol. Upon arrival drive to reach Kargil and check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 34: Kargil – Leh
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Leh. Upon arrival check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 35: Leh
Day free for individual activity. Overnight stat at the hotel.

Day 36: Leh - Delhi
In the morning transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi. Arrive and check in to hotel for overnight stay

Day 37: Depart Delhi
Morning after breakfast visit to IMF for debriefing. Later transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
