Nandadevi Outer Sanctuary Trek

A less traveled and still lesser known trek in the vicinity of Nanda Devi Sanctuary. This is one of the most beautiful treks offering close view of peaks like Trishuli (6690 m) , Changabanga (6866 m) and Hardeol (7151 m).

Day 1: Arrive - Delhi :
Met upon arrival at Delhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh :
Drive to Rishikesh (225 km) via Haridwar. Rishikesh is known as 'Gateway to Himalayas' and center of Yoga & Meditation. In the afternoon visit various Ashrams and Temples. Enjoy the 'Ganga Aarti' in the evening. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3: Rishikesh - Joshimath :
Drive to Joshimath (290 km), winter abode of Lord Badrinath and seat of Adi Sankarachrya. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Joshimath :
Day for obtaining inner line permit and other official work. Afternoon visit Auli Ski Resort. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Joshimath - Lata Village :
An hours drive takes you to the Lata Village road head. The trek to the village is 1.5 km. Visit the Nanda devi Temple and get a first hand experience of the distinctive culture of the region. Overnight in tents.

Day 6: Lata Village - Lata Kharak:
Today's trek is an 8.5 km trek with a steep incline. The going is arduous but very satisfying as the trail unfolds before ones eyes. Lata Kharak is a high plateau with high peaks surrounding it. Trekking time could vary from 5-10 hrs! Overnight in Camp

Day 7: Lata Kharak - Dharansi Pass :
A good nights sleep and what a morning! Towering snow clad peaks all around. Dronagiri, Nanda Gunthi and many more. The trail today takes a steep climb to Jhandi Dhar and Bagfyana Pass. From here on it ascends and descends through the Narrow gorge of Satkul to Dharansi Pass. Today's trekking distance is a total of 10 km. Overnight at Camp.

Day 8: Dharansi Pass - Debrugheta - Dharansi Pass :
On today's trail the Malthuni - Bethratoli Ridge's of the inner and outer sanctuary form a magnificient pass upto Rani Kholi and Donidar. The trail is a steep descent of about a kilometer to Debrugheta. Return to Dharansi Pass by late afternoon. Overnight at Camp

Day 9: Dharansi Pass - Hitoli Camp Site :
A total of 12 km is covered today. From Jhandi Dhar a steep descent of 4.5 km to the Hitoli camp site through thick forests of Rhododendron, Birch and Fir. Overnight at Camp.

Day 10: Hitoli Campsite - Joshimath:
The 8 km trail takes one through the village of Tolma to the road head from where it is a 30 km drive to Joshimath. The trek is through thick forests. Overnight at hotel in Joshimath.

Day 11: Joshimath – Rishikesh :
Early morning drive down to Rishikesh (278 kms). On arrival check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Rishikesh - Delhi:
Morning drive (225 km) to Delhi.Stop en route at haridwar to visit Har-ki-Pauri ghat.Upon arrival check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 13: Depart Delhi:
Optional sightseeing of Delhi. Later transfer to airport to board flight to onward destination.
