"The traffic in India has to be witnessed to be believed! All traffic, most of the time requires experience ++ to negotiate. You will really need an Indian driver who has the patience and expertise to get you there safely. Our driver picked us up from our accommodation and took us to Agra for Taj Mahal visit and several times to Delhi airport and back for domestic travel. We had the pleasure of using your company for a 42 day visit to India from Nov 30 2017 Dehli to Agra, Veranasi, Shimla, Manali, drove across to Ragashtan, Jodpur, Jaipur, flight to Goa, Kerala, Kovalum, Mandurai and out of Chennai. 

During our negotiations, we sourced Shikhar tours directly via friends from India, and found Shikhar tours to be a very friendly company, most helpful when changes were initiated during the planning phase of the holiday and accommodating to changes during our travels. 

Guide and Drivers

Our guides, bar one, were outstanding, knowledgable, entertaining and generally interested in our touring party getting to know the real India. Thank you for your competent drivers, and most especially our driver in North India, Mr Jagbir, whose driving, care of his passengers, left us with a great understanding of why he has been with your company for so long. Mr Jagbir's exceptional skill along the Shimla to Manali road, his patience across to Rajasthan and an understanding of the need for many a break with a 12 year old passenger and his respect understanding of comfort for my elderly parents. 

Accomodation

We were pleased to take the advice of Shikhar Tours in arrangements for accommodation, with highlights being, Ranthambore National Park 

and Zuri in Goa. As previously bought to your attention, our days on the Kerala waterways were saddened. Though the crew were lovely, we 

were given a contract boat, that did not meet cleanliness standards that we paid for. 

As discussed while in India, I have placed suitable reviews on the boat company 

website, to ensure your company is not reflected negatively in this situation.

Thank you to your company for accommodating our many requests for our 6 weeks in India. 

With so many highlights please see the following as our favourites:

Taj Mahal, Varanasi, Red Fort, Ranthanboure National Park, Zuri Beach resort Goa, and bathing of an Elephant at Elephant Junction - Thekkady.

Memorable times of our holiday include:
