One Night Corbett Tour: – My Short and Memorable Trip of Corbett

I want to share my experience of my short and memorable trip of Corbett. For the travelers and wildlife lovers, Corbett National Park is must visit place. It is named on a British hunter, Jim Corbett. He was a tracker, naturalist and author who hunted a number of man-eating tigers and leopards in India. He held the rank of colonel in the British Army and called on several times in India to hunt by the government of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to protect the villagers of Garhwal and Kumaon Divisons.

He authored Man-Eaters of Kumaon, Jungle Lore and the other books recounting his hunts and experiences.

Few days back I also got a chance to witness the beauty of Corbett. We made all the necessary arrangements to depart on the decided day. I departed from Delhi towards my destination in the morning by bus. Then, I took stopover at Gajrola Haveli resort which has all the necessary amenities with a 24 hours Restaurant service. In their menu you will find a wide range of beverage and food options. So, I had my breakfast at resort and I must say the food quality was awesome.

After breakfast I continued my journey towards Corbett and reached in the afternoon. Then I checked in in the Infinity resort followed by the lavish buffet lunch which had a huge number of varieties. The quality of food was great.

Post lunch we started our sightseeing tour and firstly visited Garjiya Devi Temple, one of the very old temple in India. It is to be found in the border of a gorgeous village called Girjiya close to Ramnagar in Uttrakhand. Garjiya Devi Mandir also known as the Girija Devi Temple in Ramnagar, have an eye catching attractive vision of situated over a giant rock in Kosi River. I offered prayer and then we moved to our next destination which was Corbett museum.

Corbett museum is located in Ramnagar near to Garjiya Devi Temple. The museum gives a peak in the wildlife of Corbett. Here on display are some belongings of Jim Corbett like personal articles, paintings, sketches, manuscripts and last hunt of its own.

After this tour, I returned to Resort and had evening snacks. Then I went for the nature walk to the riverside. In the night, there was arrangement of bonfire with music inside the resort. It was a very refreshing experience. I had my dinner at resort. In the dinner also, there was a buffet system with varieties.

Next day, I woke up early in the morning for the Jeep Safari tour. Resort provided tea and cookies and then I departed for the jeep Safari. Jeeps were ready at the resort gate for the adventures safari tour.

Open safari vehicles are the best way to discover the beauty and wilderness of the Corbett. While on the safari, I saw dotted deers, elephants, forest monkeys, Rooster, snake and so on. I also saw the paw prints of tigers.

Then, returned to resort. Their I took my morning buffet breakfast. Post breakfast, I checked out from hotel and departed for Delhi. In my return journey also I took a stopover at Gajrola Haveli resort and had my lunch there. Education Tour
