Nubra\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Valley lies to the north of Leh. The Shyok\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0River meets the Nubra\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0or Siachan\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0River and forms a large valley that separates Ladakh\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0from the Karakoram Ranges. Currently, the only road access to the Nubra\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Valley is via Khardung\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0La which is the highest motorable\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0road in the World. Panamik\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0and Sumur\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0are small towns of the Nubra\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Valley. Panamik\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0has hot sulphur spring water, Siachin\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Glacier is approximately 60 kms\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0from this point, while Sumur has a Buddhist Monastery.<\/p>\n

On the Shyok\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0River, the main village, Diskit\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0is located which is home to the Diskit\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Monastery. Diskit\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Gompa\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0is 350 years old and situated on the highest point near the village where there are about 120 Buddhist Monks Residents.The Hundar Village, also in the Nubra\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Valley is connected to the Ancient Silk Route. These two villages are also famous for the two humped\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0Bactrian camel . Camel ride can be done in Diskit\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0and Hundar Villages.
