Mt Nun Peak <\/strong>is part of the twin peak mountain massif, the Nun Kun,<\/strong> and measures at 7,135 meters (23,409 feet). The Kun is also an above 7,000 meters peak. It measures 7,035 meters. The two peaks are separated from each other by a high snowy plateau of four kilometers. Pinnacle peak, at 6,930 meters, is the third highest peak on the Nun Kun massif. The twin, Nun, and Kun peaks along with Pinnacle peaks are all located in the rugged and forbidding Zanskar range and are the highest in the region. Because of its high altitude, the weather in these regions can be inclement and unpredictable. The average heights of the Zanskar range of the Great Himalayas, where these peaks are located, are about 6,000 meters. Besides, from the state capital Srinagar, Mt. Nun<\/strong> can be conveniently reached through the Kargil-Leh road that runs about 100 kilometers east of Srinagar. The summit is located just about 250 km east of Srinagar. Srinagar offers good air connectivity by all the leading Indian carriers like Air India, Jet Airways, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and GoAir from major metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
