I have been in touch with more than 500 people from the outdoor community, mostly trekkers<\/a>, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts during the very contagious and aggressive second wave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feedback coming is that everyone is doing well. Few folks who had turned positive were able to fight the virus, a few have had one or two bad days. Many did not have symptoms at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My sense is that those who have adopted an outdoor lifestyle have higher fitness levels and seem better equipped to handle the virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also know that walking trips to the mountains enhance lung capacity which is a benefit in the current circumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another aspect that comes into the mix when we are in the outdoors is on mental fitness. What we have learned and experienced is that tough situation which comes time and time again help us in rationalizing challenges which life throws at us in our day to day lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have weathered many storms. Am sure we will all easily weather this one as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
