Indian Himalayas offer great opportunities to climb different peaks for adventure enthusiasts and explorers. There are hundreds of peaks available for climbing in different regions of the Indian Himalayas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">We have identified top ten peaks for you to choose from:<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>1) Mount Kun<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/descending_from_camp_of_mt_kun.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-784\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/descending_from_camp_of_mt_kun.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Mt_Kun\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Kun is located north of the peak Nun in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Kun peak is separated from Nun by a snowy plateau of about 4 km (2.5 mi) in length. The height of the peak Kun is 7077m (23,218ft.) and this peak was the first to be conquered in 1913 by Italian mountaineer Piacenza. The best time to travel Kun is from early June to October, June-August being the main climbing period.<!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>2) Mount Nun<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/nun.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-785\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/nun.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Nun\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Mount Nun, 7,135 m (23,409 ft) is the highest summit\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 of the massif . It was first scaled by Swiss climber, Madame Claude Kogan\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 in 1953. Nun is located south of Kun and is separated from it by a snowy plateau of about 4 km (2.5 mi) in length. The best time to travel Nun is from early June to October, June-August being the main climbing period.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>3) Stok Kangri<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/9-15-stok-kangri-snow-laden-1024x716.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-786\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/9-15-stok-kangri-snow-laden-1024x716.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"9.15-Stok-Kangri-snow-laden--1024x716\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Stok Kangri (elevation 6,153 m (20,182 feet) is one of the main peaks of the Zanskar area of Ladakh. The peak is located in Hemis National Park, 12 km southwest of the trailhead at3,610 m (11,845 feet) in the village of Stok and 24 km southwest of the Ladakhi capital of Leh. To climb this peak is challenging as well as interesting. The best time to climb this peak is from July to October.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>4) Mount Satopanth<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/garhwal-w-satopanth.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-787\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/garhwal-w-satopanth.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Garhwal W Satopanth\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Satopanth (7075m) is the second highest summit in the Gangotri Group in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. This peak provides mesmerizing views of Mt. Thalay Sagar, Mt. Shivling and the terrifying granite pillars of Bhagirathi III. The best time to climb this peak is from July to October.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>5) Thalay sagar<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/thalay_sagar.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-788\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/thalay_sagar.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Thalay_Sagar\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Thalay Sagar is located just north of Gangotri in Western Garhwal. At 6904 meters, it is one of the most difficult mountains in the Garhwal with no easy ascent route. The first ascent route, the NW Couloir and West Ridge, is a technical ice climb in the lower sections, followed by a mixed free and aid rock section, followed by fifth class climbing up the final summit ridge. It was first climbed by an Anglo-American expedition in 1979. The best time to climb this peak is from July to October.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>6) Hanuman Tibba<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/mount-hanuman-tibba.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-790\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/mount-hanuman-tibba.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Mount-Hanuman-Tibba\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Hanuman Tibba (19753 feet) is a beautiful peak to the north of Manali in Himachal Pradesh and is part of the Pir Panjal mountain range. Hanuman Tibba borders the Districts of Kangra to west and Kullu to east. The best time to climb this peak is from July to October.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>7) Mount Shivling<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/shivling.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-791\" src=\"https:\/\/shikhartravels.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/03\/shivling.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Shivling\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a>Shivling (6,543m) is a two summit mountain which lies not far from the snout of the Gangotri Glacier. It is one of the most beautiful peaks in the entire Garhwal. Its name refers to its status as a sacred symbol of the God-Lord Shiva&#8217;s Shiva Linga. It is a particularly steep and rocky peak, and all routes on it are serious undertakings.
