Overview

Srinagar, unquestionably romance embodied summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir placed perfectly in the center of the Kashmir Valley is aptly called as the Venice of the Himalayas. Founded around 150 AD by King Pravarasen II, Srinagar is placed on the banks of the river Jhelum. Srinagar is a unique city with beautiful lakes like Dal, nagin and Anchar. Vividly beautiful multi-colored houseboats swinging in the Dal Lake and amazing Himalaya's snow covered mountains makes Srinagar a special attraction which no tourist can miss. Srinagar has a special place in the history of ancient India. Excavations carried out here had identified many valued evidences of ancient settlements dating back to 5,000 years. The artifacts collected from the excavation are displayed in Srinagar museum, which include arrowheads, animal skeletons, implements, tools and pots from the Neolithic age. Irrespective of the season, Summer or Winter, Srinagar breeds many tourist attractions. Srinagar attracts tourists throughout the year, thanks to its nice climate. Srinagar is well known across all tourists for the verdant houseboats. The largest lake Dal has the maximum number of houseboats and tourists visit here to enjoy the house boating. Winter in Srinagar is enchanting. the season is fantastic with snow covered mountains, natural beauties and cool weather. Summer is beautiful here with many attractions and activities, like Shikara Ride, visit to Gardens and Monuments.Summer is verdant with green and beautiful views and gardens, springing lakes and other attractions. Sight seeing in Srinagar is the greatest attraction to the visitors. Mughal Gardens, Hazaratbal Mosque and other lakeside views are some of the wonderful places to visit. Shikara, the houseboats, can be used in Jhelum River to move around the picturesque valleys in the backdrop of Himalayan range hillocks . Day 01 Arrive Srinagar

In time Transfer to airport to board the flight for Srinagar. On arrival check in at the Houseboat .

Day 02 Srinagar

Full day tour of Srinagar, visit the world famous Mughal Gardens: visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and the Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). In the afternoon take the Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. Overnight at House Boat.

Day 03 Srinagar

Full day excursion to Sonmarg which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way you stop at many beautiful spots. One can take a horse ride to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year . Sonmarg is known as the Gateway of Ladakh. In the evening return to Houseboat. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 04 Srinagar - Delhi

Transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi. Arrive Delhi, in time transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.

Srinagar - Sikara ride amd Mughal Gardens
