Overview

As rightly named, this luxury train meanders through the princely state of Rajasthan, crossing some of the most historically and culturally rich cities. What makes this journey unique is a small town in Gujarat named Balasinor. Gujarat is famous for its Garba dance, rich food and the salt soil of Rann of Kachh. But this town stands out for its huge wealth of fossilized dinosaur remains. It was after the discovery of Rajasaurus narmadensis (meaning regal dinosaur from the Narmada River), this town established the Dinosaur Fossil Park. This is the only park in the world which lets visitors touch the dinosaur remains, and hold a 65 million year old egg fossil in their hands*.
