Overview

In this tour we will visit  Varanasi one of the old living cities of the world placed on the banks of the holy Ganges and one of the sacred places of the Hindus and Saranath the place where Gautma Buddha given his first preach after enlightenment. The city known for its spiritualism and religious passion.Varanasi is not only the spiritual capital of India with innumerable temples and places of worship painting the hues of the skyline, but also a very picturesque place with gorgeous backdrop. We will also take you to Bodhgaya the place where Gautam Buddha got his enlightenment under the Peepal tree.

Buddhist Tour itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life ; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and proceed to your hotel.
Overnight at Delhi
Meal: No Meal.
 
DAY 2: DELHI- VARANASI (FLIGHT)
Morning after an early breakfast well in time checkout from hotel and transfer to airport to board the flight to Varanasi. On arraival meet and assistance by our representative and straight drive to Saranath. The place where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon. The celebrated Mantra, 'Buddham Sharanam Gachhami', owes its origin to Sarnath. On the day before his death Buddha included Sarnath along with Lumbini, Bodh Gaya and Kushinagar as the four places he thought to be sacred to his followers. It makes Sarnath one of the most venerated Buddhist places. Besides Buddhism, Sarnath is also connected with Jainism.
After the visit of Saranath continue drive to Varanasi. On arrival check in at hotel.
Evening we will head towards the Dasaswamedh Ghat (One of the banks of Ganges River.close to Kashi Vishwanath Temple) to witness Ganga Aarti (Evening Prayer). Take a stroll through the Local Market which is very colorful during the evening with lights

DAY 3: VARANASI – BODHGAYA ( 250 KMS. 5 HRS DRIVE)
Early morning enjoy an inspiring and beautiful Sunrise boat ride along the river’s edge to view the temples and the ancient rituals of the thousands of pilgrims who worship here daily. Bear a testimony to the ancient living heritage of thousands of years. Take a long boat ride along the bathing Ghats and later disembark to walk through the ancient narrow lane of Varanasi witnessing the pilgrims going for worship to the GOLDEN TEMPLE after they have taken a cleanse from the Holy Dip in the River Ganga, which you will be able to see from out side only,
After the boat ride come back to hotel for breakfast.
Post breakfast proceed for city tour of Varanasi. Starts from the visit of Durga temple called as the Sankat Mochan temple and the Bharat Mata temple. The Benaras Hindu University, one the most presumed educational institutions in India. Also visit weaver colony to during the sightseeing to see how silk is process made into clothes.
After Varanasi sightseeing continue drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival check in at hotel.
Rest of the day free at leisure.

DAY 4 BODHGAYA
After early breakfast at hotel proceed for excursion of Rajgir to visit Girdkut , Bimbisar Jail,Venuvana & Hot water Spring. Then proceed to visit Sujata Village, Eight feet Statue of Lord Buddha,Monnastries surroundings. Then transfer to Nalanda & visit Nalanda University.
Later afternoon return to Bodhgaya and visit to Buddhist temple where under the Peepal Tree Gautam Buddha got his enlightenment.
Late evening return to hotel, Then transfer to Bodhgaya at Back to Hotel

Overnight at Bodhgaya.

DAY 04 : GAYA – PATNA - DELHI DEPRATURE (DRIVE 115 KMS 3 ½ Hrs DRIVE + FLIGHT)
Early morning pick up packed breakfast from the hotel and  drive to Patna. Buddha Smriti Park

Buddha Smriti Park - The park is sometimes also referred to as the Buddha Memorial Park. The theme of the park based on the historical relationship between Buddhism and the state of Bihar.

This 22 acre park located in the heart of city house the pot containing holy ashes of Lord Buddha inside the main stupa - Patliputra Karuna Stupa. Previously the pot containing ashes of Buddha was for display in Patna Museum, pot was earlier excavated from Vaishali.
Post sightseeing transfer to  Patna airport to board the flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi meet and assistance by our representative and transfer to International airport to board the late night onward flight.
