First, we will visit Jankichatti, a holy place, and then trek for around 5-6 km to reach Yamunotri on foot, pony, doli, or horses (payments excluded). On the way, we will see the Divya Shila, a rock pillar near the Yamunotri temple.

Once we reach Yamunotri, visit the Suryakund, where the prasadam is made from the hot water of the lake and consists of cooked potatoes and rice. The Yamunotri temple has three temples dedicated to Yam (Yamraj, son of Surya Dev), Yami, and Surya Dev. After visiting the temple, return to Jankichatti and then to Barkot, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 Km / 04 to 05 hrs)

After having brunch in the morning, we will leave for Uttarkashi and visit the Prakteshwer Mahadev cave, a beautiful and ancient cave dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next, visit the Shivafalls, which offers a mesmerizing view and has 120 ladders to reach the temple. On the way, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a renowned temple of Lord Shiva and known as the "Kashi of North." Uttarkashi is surrounded by the holy river banks of the Bhagirathi, the primary tributary of the Ganges, and is also known as the city of Lord Shiva. The Shiva temple and Shakti temple attract visitors with their unique power. After this, check-in to the hotel, have dinner, and spend the night in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 km / 3 hours each way)

Prepare for an early morning trip to Gangotri, where the next adventure awaits. Along the way, enjoy breakfast at the radix of the Ganges River. The destination is 100 km away from Uttarkashi. Upon arrival at the Gangotri main temple, the prime attraction is the beautiful Ganga Maiya temple, built by Gurkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th century. Also, see the big rock where monarch Bhagirath performed austerity and praised to solve his form to Ganga Maa, with idols of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, and King Bharadwaj nearby. The main source of the Ganges River is Gaumukh, located 18 km from Gangotri. The origin structure is said to resemble the mouth of a cow, making the location even more fascinating.
