You can travel between cities on overnight trains and luxury buses. With Golf concentrated mostly around its main cities, from where many extensions can be planed, Golf & travel are easily combined.
A well thought out itinerary could have you in Hyderabad for a few days to lap up the city's monuments, bazaars and Biryani, while enjoying your game at HGA (close to the ramparts of the Golconda Fort), and at Boulder Hills. And then travel to Bengaluru for golf at some of India's finest courses. The options for extensions and day trips from Bengaluru are countless. Mysore and Coorg are a short distance from Bengaluru and also have Golf courses.
Coimbatore's home to a beautiful Golf course and a great base for exploring the hill stations of Ooty and Kodaikanal which also possess their own golf courses and where the settings are spectacular and the weather perfect. A short train or bus journey from Bengaluru is Chennai (roughly 4 hours), where the Madras Gymkhana and the Cosmo-TNFF Golf course are laden with history. A few days exploring Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry and Auroville from Chennai are fabulous additions to a Golf & family holiday.
