New Year Special Kedarkantha Trek From Delhi itinerary
Day 1- Delhi - Dehradun
Your journey with Shikhar Travels commence from New Delhi. Board the train from New Delhi railway station to Dehradun at 11:50 PM. Arrive on day 2 at Dehradun railway station 05:30 AM.
Overnight journey in train.(Train is subject to availability. If train is not available than transfer by Vovlo bus)

Day 2- Dehradun - Sankri
Drive Distance: 193 kms | Duration: 9-10 hours | Elevation: 1950M
On reaching the railway station, you will receive a warm welcome from our tour representative who will then accompany you in moving towards Sankri. You will drive towards Sankri Village via Mussoorie, the queen of hills and there are many other tourist attractions falling en-route. It takes a total of 9-10 hours driving distance as Sankri is located almost 193 km away from Dehradun.
The drive passes off by means of gorgeous pine forests and this makes your trekking experience worthy. On reaching Sankri, start exploring the scenic hamlet and then return to the stay for scrumptious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Sankri is an ideal base camp established amidst the ridges because of the gorgeous sun setting behind the Himalayas and the magnificent Swargarohini Peak. This is the time to have your dinner and then go to sleep.

Day 3- Sankri - Juda Ka Talab
Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 4 - 5 hours | Elevation: 2800M
Start your day with a hot and delectable breakfast before starting your hiking climb. This takes almost 4-5 hours to reach the final destination of the day by passing through the thick dense forests Kedarkantha. While ascending up, you are going to witness the awe-inspiring views of snow-covered mountain peaks. Juda Ka Talab, a frozen water stream nestled at the altitude of 2800 meters above sea level.
After covering an hour long walking distance you will reach the place where you will spending night after binging on mouth-watering night meal.

Day 4- Juda Talab - Kedarkantha Base
Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 3 - 4 hours | Elevation: 3430M
Today you will be trekking towards Kedarkantha Base after finishing relishing morning meal. The day is going to be very hectic as the trekking route looks astonishing as you get to see the mesmerizing views of the lush green valleys and good sized snowfields bedecked with green patches. On reaching the day destination, go to your camp and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 5- Basecamp - Kedarkantha Peak - Basecamp - Hargaon
Trek Distance: 9 kms | Duration: 6-7 hours | Elevation: 3800M
Early in the morning at 02:00 AM, have your light breakfast and get ready to walk up the mountains to reach the summit. This day of Kedarkantha trek is going to be very hectic for shutterbugs as you will be covering a long yet moderate trekking trail. On reaching the top, a traveler gets to witness the astonishing views of several mountains of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kinnaur Kailash range, and the cascading valleys.
Enjoy and witness the beautiful sunrise from the top of the Kedarkantha peak. Witness the moment and live your life to the utmost level by capturing the glimpses of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Later, return to your camp and have lunch and decend down to Hargaon campsite for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 6- Hargaon - Sankri
Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 3-4 hours | Elevation: 1950M
Today you will start descending down to Sankri. Get up early in the morning and treat your taste buds with delectable breakfast and then pack your bags as this is the time to leave from here. This takes a couple of hours to reach Sankri
On reaching Sankri, complete the check-in formalities at your stay and unwind yourself in the comfy room. Later in the evening, walk around the nearby areas and collect some more memories of this adventurous journey.

Day 7- Sankri - Dehradun - New Delhi (Train)
Drive Distance: 193 kms | Duration: 9-10 hours | Elevation: 640M
On this day of Kedarkantha trek, you will be served with a healthy and scrumptious breakfast. After you have finished your morning meal, pack your bags and say goodbye to your fellow travelers. And drive to Dehradun railway station.
On arrival at dehradun board the train to New Delhi at 10:50 PM. Overnight in train.
Day 8- Morning 04:30 AM, arrival at New Delhi railway station. Your tour ends here.
