Overview

Mount Z1, Z2, Z3, and few other peaks are the series of peaks in Zanskar area of Ladakh Union territory of Indian Himalaya. Zanskar valley is a neighboring region of Ladakh which also separates Zanskar from Ladakh. There are many peaks in Zanskar valley which is still unnamed and unclimbed and open for climbing. Z-1 peak is a famous peak in Zanskar valley and many tourists and mountain lovers go in this valley for trekking and expedition. Shikhar Travels is originating a fixed departure expedition to Z-1 6155 meters and giving all mountaineers and mountain lovers an opportunity to climb this beautiful peak.

MT. Z-I EXPEDITION 6155 M itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive Delhi airport you will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and & transfer to hotel. Later in the day visit IMF Director and Liaison Officer for Mt.Z1 Peak Expedition. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel. Overnight stay in hotel at Delhi.

Day 02: DELHI- LEH (3,524 M)

Today early Morning, we will transfer you to the Delhi airport to board flight to Leh. Arrive Leh and check-in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Leh.
Meals:  Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 03: LEH

Morning after breakfast, we will take you to a hike for Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Rest of the day free for acclimatization and shopping in Leh. Evening you can walk down to the nearest market on your own or spend some time at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: LEH - KARGIL (2,676 M)

After breakfast check out from hotel and 230 Kms drive to Kargil, Lunch En-route. Upon arrival in Kargil check in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: KARGIL - RINGDOM

We follow the right bank of Suru River, and Reach Ringdom village for overnight stay at camp/home stay.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 06: RINGDOM- BASE CAMP TREK

Morning after breakfast Trek to Base camp in Drang Drung glacier. Overnight stay at camp.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 07-16: BASE CAMP – SUMMIT MT.  Z-1 6155 M - BASE CAMP

Day 07 to 16 for climbing and summit and descend to Base camp.
Meals: All meals at Base camp

DAY 17: BASE CAMP – RINGDOM TREK

Trek Back to Ringdom. Overnight stay at camp.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 18: RINGDOM– KARGIL

Drive back to Kargil. Overnight stay at hotel.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 19: KARGIL – LEH

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive back to Leh. Overnight stay at hotel.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 20: Leh – DELHI

Morning check out from and transfer to Leh Airport to catch the flight to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi transfer to IMF Delhi for (De-briefing) IMF Director. Overnight stay in IMF.
Meals: Breakfast

Day 21: DELHI DEPART

Morning transfer to IGI airport Delhi to fly back to home.
Meal:  Breakfast

  • Accommodation on Dbl/Twin Sharing Rooms in hotels/guest house and tents as per program

  • Transportation in Delhi by AC Tempo traveler / Innova and by Non-AC Jeeps in Mountain areas as per the program.
  • Services of a mountain guide and high porter during the expedition.

  • Transportation of Members luggage maximum 40 Kgs per person road heads to Base Camp & Base Camp to road head by Pony or porters.
  • Climbing equipment i.e, Fix rope, Climbing rope, High altitude tent, Carabiner, Snow bar, Ice piton etc.
  • One time monuments entry fees for sightseeing as per itinerary.
  • All current taxes including Govt. service tax of 5%
 
Price doesn't include:

  • Personal clothing and gears required for climbing (Personal Climbing equipment)
  • Personal expenses such as table drinks, rooms services items, laundry, telephone calls at hotels or tips etc.
  • Personal high altitude porter 
  • Any additional expenses caused by or liability for a disturbance in the trip program due to our circumstances, weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.
  • Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents or loss of goods.
  • Personal Belongings such as Sleeping Bags, walking sticks etc.
  • Please ensure your insurance covers you for the heights you are likely to attain, and for a helicopter rescue and when you have chosen and booked your insurance, please provide SHIKHAR TRAVELS with your Insurers name, their 24-hour emergency telephone number and your Policy number with them. Remember, your insurance is not worth the paper it's written on if we don't know the details and you need their assistance.
