Rajasthan Textile and Creative Design Tour itinerary
DAY 01: Arrive Delhi (Details awaited)
On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel for check in. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast at 0900 hrs. We will start our tour with visit to a centre where young women are taught sewing and stitching. Later we will visit Old Delhi and see the beautiful Jama Majid before continuing to visit the National Crafts Museum, one of the largest museums in India. The museum is run by the Ministry of Textiles and holds over 35,000 rare and distinctive pieces, reflecting the traditions of Indian craftsmen through painting, embroidery, textiles, clay, stone, and wood. Overnight in Delhi.
DAY 03: Delhi to Jaisalmer
Today early morning you will be transferred to Delhi train station to catch train for Jaisalmer.
Depart Delhi by ‘15014’ or ‘25014’ (ETD: 0430 hrs.)
Arrive Jaisalmer “AC 2 tier” (ETA:2200 hrs.)
Upon arrival at Jaisalmer train station you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
DAY 04: Jaisalmer Sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast at 0900 hrs. you will be taken for city tour of Jaisalmer visiting Jaisalmer Fort, Jain Temple, Bada Bagh and Haveli’s - Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ji ki Haveli. Later, Witness mirror work done by ladies followed by puppet making in Jaisalmer.
In the evening we will visit Sam Dunes for camel safari and Dinner. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
DAY 05: Jaisalmer - Barmer - Balotra – Rohet Garh (300 Km, 5 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast at 0830 hrs. we will visit Balotra for wood painting and Barmer for wood carving. Get an Insight into Bandhej & Dabu printing procedures, Woodcarving, embroidery, block painting and other handicrafts. Visit the mud-walled houses decorated with the characteristic geometrical designs of each different village.
Later continue drive to Rohet Garh. Overnight in Rohet Garh.
DAY 06: Rohet Garh
Today morning after breakfast at 0800 hrs. excursion tour to Khejarli - Shepherds Village and Gudha village (spot wildlife & visit to bishnoi families). Today we will visit Salawas (Block printer’s village), Salawas (Weavers village), and Potter’s Village (Khejarli and Salawasi). Overnight in Rohet Garh.
DAY 7: Rohet Garh – Khimsar (140 Km, 2.35 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast at 0800 hrs. we drive to Khimsar enroute tour of Jodhpur visiting Meherangarth Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Museum and Jaswant Thada. Later continue drive to Khimsar via Pipar. In Pipar, witness block making and block printing on silk fabric. Continue to Khimsar Dunes Village. If time permits, we will enjoy a Jeep Safari in Khimsar in the afternoon. Overnight in Khimsar Dunes Village.
DAY 08: Khimsar - Nagaur – Pushkar (180 Km, 3.30 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast, at 0800 hrs. visit Nila Moti, an inviting women’s work programmer, the quality of the work is exceptional. Little bit outside of Pushkar, a family run company. This will be one of the places where we print our own block print fabrics. Overnight in Pushkar.
DAY 09: Pushkar – Jaipur (150 Km, 3 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast at 0800 hrs. drive Jaipur and check in at your hotel.
In the afternoon you will take leisurely stroll through local fashionable colourful market. Jaipur is famous for its Bazaars. You will have an opportunity to spend time in the oldest and busiest of markets in the walled city Johari Bazaar. You will visit the craftspeople, still using basic tools and ancient traditions to make the most extraordinary variety of handicrafts and household appliances. Along the way you will also see the city’s delicious and aromatic street food heritage; and will learn local religious rituals and legends when you stop at small shrines. Strolling through the bazaars is a lesson in the lifestyle of ordinary people. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur – Sanganer- Bagru – Jaipur
Today morning after breakfast, at 0800 hrs. you will transfer to Sanganer and Bagru Village (approx. 1hr drive one way) where you will attend workshop and see the villages at work of fascinating art of Tie and Dye, Bandhani, Block printing with wooden blocks, glass jewellery, utensils and the art of handmade papers.
Later we will drive back to Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 11: Jaipur Sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast, at 0800 hrs. proceed to visit Amer Fort enroute photo stop at Hawa Mahal. Later visit Anokhi Museum of block printing.
Afternoon free at leisure to explore the pink city on your own. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 12: Jaipur – Delhi – Departure (275 Km, 5 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast at 0800 hrs. you will drive to Delhi international airport from where you will board flight to onward destination.

Prices DO NOT Include:
- International, visa fees, airport tax or any kind of insurance cover.
- Any meal apart from mentioned above cost includes.
- Car at disposal or any sightseeing on leisure days unless specified above.
- Early check in or a late checkout room (s) at any hotel (s) unless specified above.
- Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like change in flight and train schedule; cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, etc.
- Expenses of personal nature like personal gratuities, telephone charges, laundry, spa activities, drinks etc.
- Tips to driver, guide, hotel staff & representative.
- Any airfare – international or domestic.
- Any porterage at hotel (for baggage on arrival and departure from the hotel).
- Camera/video camera fee at monuments.
- Any other item not specifically mentioned above as 'INCLUDED.'
Payment Policy:
Upon confirmation of the booking, we would require 25% of the total invoice and the balance 75% amount should be paid 60 days prior to the date of arrival.
Cancellation policy:
Cancellation Charges: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing in the name of Shikhar Travels (India) Pvt Ltd.
For cancellation made 60 prior to the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of the invoice. For cancellation made within 60-30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 50% of the invoice. For cancellation made within 30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 100% of the invoice.
In certain cases, the cancellation policy (including conditions applicable on the advance deposit made/required for holding the reservation) may differ & would be applicable as per the cancellation policy of that hotel / Service provider. This will be charged over & in addition to the cancellation policy.
Unused Services & Refund
No refund will be made for any unused services or other arrangements due to any changes in schedule made by passenger while traveling. However, in certain cases, the refund will be considered as per the policy of the carrier/ hotel/ tour company / or other suppliers used for providing services.
Refund request must be made within 2 weeks of the completion of the trip.
If there are any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of hotel stay, transportation, and meals etc. extra bill will be raised. Neither Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses.
Responsibility & Liability
All the packages are sold under the business management of Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt Ltd. Shikhar Travels reserves the right to cancel or alter any package as conditions require. Neither Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses due to loss, delay or damage caused by accident, illness, bad weather, strikes / riots, road block etc.
Governing Law
These conditions and each term shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India without reference to conflict of laws principles and disputes arising in relation here to shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
