Day 01: Arrive Chennai

Arrive chennai and get assistence on arrival and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Chennai-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram ( 143 KMS Approx )

Drive to Mahabalipuram enroute stop at Kanchipuram (one of the seven most sacred places of India). Kanchipuram was a place of Tamil learning and was the erstwhile capital of Chola Dynasty.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram

Start a day long guided tour of Mamallapuram including the Caves, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas, Shore Temple and Arjuna’s Penance. It is the perfect place to see the ancient Pallava architecture in South India.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram-Tiruvannamalai-Pondicherry ( 278 KMS Approx

Drive to Pondicherry halting at Tiruvannamalai (an important pilgrim place of Tamil Nadu), Arunachaleswar Temple, Veerupaksha Cave and Ramana Ashram.

Day 05: Pondicherry

Pondicherry is one of the finest attractions of India. Visit the Aurobindo Ashram, Sri Aurobindo Ghose, a noted freedom fighter, philosopher and poet, Auroville, Promenade, Botanical Garden and the Museum.

Day 06: Pondicherry-Chidambaram-Kumbakonam- Thanjavur( 153 KMS Approx)

Drive to Thanjavur stopping en-route at Chidambaram. Also visit Adi Kumbheswarar Temple, Nageswara Swami Temple and Someswarar Temple at Kumbakonam.

Day 07: Thanjavur (Tanjore)-Trichy-Madurai ( 176 KMS Approx )

Visit few prominent temples of Thanjavur today. The main attraction of Tanjore is the Sri Brahadeeswarar Temple – a thousand years old temple. Later drive to Madurai enroute visit Trichy (Thiruchirappalli).

Day 08: Madurai

Madurai – the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. In Madurai, take a guided tour of Meenakshi Temple one of the best temples of South India and the Tirumalai Nayaka Palace.

Day 09: Madurai-Periyar (160 KMS Approx)

Drive to Periyar National Park through a picturesque route. Take a boat ride over Lake Periyar to see the rich wildlife. Also take the famous spice plantation tour .

Day 10: Periyar- Alleppey-Houseboat ( 155 KMS Approx)

Drive to Alleppy and embark the Houseboat to start your backwater cruise experience. The fabulous Kerala backwaters Houseboat is also known as a ‘Kettuvellam’, going through the Vembanad Lake’s narrow channels, the lush green paddy fields, the tiny local villages witnessing the rural life of Kerala.

Day 11: Houseboat (Alleppey)-Cochin ( 53 KMS Approx)

Disembark the houseboat and transfer to Cochin for a sightseeing tour including Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace-St. Francis Cathedral, Chinese fishing nets. Later take a walk through the spice markets of Cochin. In the evening, visit one of the many theatres to watch the live performance of traditional Kathakali Dance.

Day 12: Cochin-Departure

Transfer to Cochin international airport to board to onward flight.
