Camel Fair Pushkar

Held each November at the time of the Kartik Purnima full moon, Pushkar Camel Fair is one of India’s most highly-rated travel experiences, a spectacle on an epic scale, attracting 200,000 people and 25,000 camels, cattle, and horses.

For visitors its a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the colour, spectacle and carnival of one of the last great traditional melas, which brings livestock, farmers, traders and villagers from all over Rajasthan.

Almost empty lake this year the drama was, that the holy lake was almost empty and it was hard to find a place for the holy bath. But although Pushkar was crowded, colourful, and rich on camels, horses and good-humoured people.
