During my recent Mount Nun expedition with Shikhar Travels, I had an exceptionally positive experience. Every aspect of the expedition was well organized and executed, from the quality of food and hotel management to the exceptional support provided by the cooking staff Kishan ji and Ashu, Sherpas, porters, and other team members Abhishek, Varun, Maddy. Everyone was so helpful out there. 🙂 I would like to particularly commend Abhishek for his exceptional strength and professionalism as a climber. He is very helpful and supportive too. He also taught me other climbing activities ...descending, ascending, jumaring like a well trained professional. I am very thankful for that. It was our first visit in India. Shikhar travels organized our trip “golden triangle” perfectly. It was a good choice of places of interest and a choice of qualified guides and hotels. But more than that we enjoyed our trip with our driver Sanjeev - he did not only drive us perfectly from one place to the other, warmhearted as he is he explained us newcomers in a completely different culture so many things which allowed us to travel through India safe and openminded. I must not forget to mention that the planned time schedule had always been hold.

Shikkar Travel smoothly arranged a lovely 10 day trip for my husband and me to the 25th annual Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, India. All lodging, transportation, and 3 meals daily plus a driver and guides meeting our flights were provided by Shikkar. Our driver and guides in Kolkata and throughout Nagaland were excellent, particularly our Nagaland guide, Litwang. He guided us throughout the festival and to various tribal villages, providing invaluable insights into the different tribal cultures and their history, particularly the Konyaks, of which Litwang is a member. This was a unique trip to a beautiful, mountainous region with rich tribal cultures and seldom visited by outsiders.

august 2024 expedition mount nun: the agency provided me with excellent pre- and post-trip assistance, very comfortable accommodations, excellent transportation service as well as the group to base camp, guide and sherpa were very good in managing the expedition given the weather conditions were not always favorable. i highly recommend it!
