Char Dham Packages From Pune itinerary

Day 1: Pune - Delhi, Delhi - Rishikesh (230 km / 7 hr)
On the initiation day of the Char Dham Yatra, we eagerly await your arrival at Delhi by flight or train from Pune. Our scheduled coach to Rishikesh will leave Delhi at 9:30 PM for an overnight journey.

Day 2: Rishikesh - Barkot (200 km / 7 hr)
We will begin our pilgrimage to the sacred shrines in Garhwal Himalayas from Rishikesh, the famous gateway to Garhwal Himalayas. After arriving early in the morning, we will explore the many marvels of the holy city, such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Swarg Ashram, Geeta Ashram, and Sivananda Ashram. After sightseeing in Rishikesh, we will continue towards Barkot, stopping at Kempty falls in Mussoorie along the way. The road trip will offer panoramic vistas of the Himalayan ranges and picturesque valleys. Once we reach the hotel in Barkot, we will check-in for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (45 km Road / 6 km Trek)
Today, we will visit the first of the four dhams - Yamunotri. We will start the pilgrimage early in the morning and drop you off at Janki Chatti, the base-camp for trekking to the Yamunotri shrine. You may choose to trek the rest of the 6 km to the Yamunotri shrine or hire a pony/palki at your own expense.

You can savor the prasadam of boiled potatoes/rice prepared by dipping them in the boiling waters of Surya Kund, the thermal water-spring at Yamunotri named after the Sun God Surya, considered to be Yamuna Devi's father.

The Yamunotri Temple commemorates the birthplace of the River Goddess Yamuna at Yamunotri. The temple is located about one kilometer downhill from the physical source of the river, which is the Champasar glacier. Due to the region's frequent avalanches, the temple has undergone several reconstructions. The temple houses two idols of River Goddesses, a black one of River Yamuna and a white one of River Ganga. After a fulfilling darshan of Yamuna Maa, trek downwards to Janki Chatti for an overnight stay at Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot - Uttarkashi (90 km / 4 hrs)
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed from Barkot to Uttarkashi. Prakateswar Mahadev Temple would be our stopover in between. Once we reach Uttarkashi, we will check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, we will visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and offer our prayers. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 km / 3 hr)
Today, we will proceed to the second dham - Gangotri, the origin of the holy river Ganges. We will start early in the morning and reach Gangotri by afternoon. On the way, we will visit the picturesque Harsil valley, which is known for its scenic beauty and the famous Bhagirathi River. Once we reach Gangotri, we will take a dip in the holy river and perform the puja. Afterward, we will visit the Gangotri Temple and offer our prayers to the River Goddess. Later in the evening, we will drive back to Uttarkashi and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 6: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (230 km / 9 hr)
Today, we will proceed towards the third dham - Kedarnath. We will start early in the morning and reach Guptkashi by late evening. On the way, we will stop at Tehri Dam and enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayas. We will also take a holy dip in the river Mandakini. Once we reach Guptkashi, we will check-in at the hotel and rest for the night.

Day 7: Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Guptkashi (35 km Road / 17 km Trek)
Today, we will visit the holy shrine of Kedarnath. We will take a morning helicopter ride from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. After arriving at Kedarnath, we will visit the Kedarnath Temple and offer our prayers to Lord Shiva. The temple is located at an altitude of 3,583 meters and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. After spending some time at the temple, we will take a helicopter ride back to Guptkashi and rest for the night.

Day 8: Guptkashi - Badrinath (200 km / 8 hr)
Today, we will proceed towards the fourth and final dham - Badrinath. On the way, we will stop at Joshimath and visit the Narasimha Temple. We will also visit the Vishnu Prayag and Nanda Prayag confluence of the rivers. Once we reach Badrinath, we will check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later in the evening, we will visit the famous Badrinath Temple and offer our prayers to Lord Vishnu. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 9: Badrinath - Rishikesh (297 km / 10 hr)
After experiencing the divine blessings of Kedarnath, we will proceed towards our next destination, Badrinath. During the scenic road trip, we will make stops at three confluences of Panchprayags at Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, and Vishnuprayag, as well as the Narasimha Temple at Joshimath. At Karnaprayag, the Pinder and Alaknanda rivers merge, while at Nandprayag, Mandakini and Alaknanda merge. At Vishnuprayag, Alaknanda meets Dhauliganga.

Joshimath, a sacred town situated along the banks of Dhauliganga and Alaknanda, is home to one of the four maths established by Adi Shankaracharya. The name Joshimath evolved from this "Jyotirmath." Another pilgrimage attraction is the Narasimha Temple, where an interesting feature is noticed in the idol of Narasimha, the fierce form of Lord Vishnu. Its hand keeps getting withered away, and it is believed that when the hand is completely withered away, the entire valley will be destroyed, and the gods will take refuge at Bhavishya Badri.

Upon reaching Badrinath, we will check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Badrinath - Pipalkoti (80 km / 4 hr)
On Day 10 of the Chardham Yatra, we will travel from Badrinath to Pipalkoti covering a distance of 80 km in 4 hours. Only the blessed can partake in the holy morning pooja of Badrinarayan. Before worshipping at the Badrinath Temple, one should take a holy dip in the waters of Tapt Kund. The Badrinath Temple is situated at an altitude of 3,133 m above sea level and is considered to be the prime among the Vishnu shrines in the world. The peaks of Nar, Narayan, and Neelkanth form the perfect backdrop for Badrinath. The region was once covered with forests of wild berries (Badri), and its name of Badrinath is a remnant of the same.

The temple has idols of Lord Ganesh, Goddess Lakshmi, Narada Muni, Kubera, Nar-Narayan, Hanuman, and more. One can procure the holy water (Abhishekam ja/Charnamrit) from the temple premises. At Brahma Kapal situated nearby, religious rites meant to bring peace to one’s deceased ancestors are performed. After enjoying the holy environ of Badrinath, one may proceed to enjoy the many wonders of India’s last village of Mana.

A walk across the many contours of Mana village makes one feel as if they have landed in one of the prehistoric sites of Mahabharata era. The many remnants of the epic strewn across its terrain act as catalysts for the same. One can visit Vyas Gufa, revered as the site in which the epic of Mahabharata was written, and Ganesh Gufa, the seat at which Lord Ganesha was seated transcribing the words of Ved Vyas. After a blissful darshan of Badrinath and an exploration of Mana village, we will be driven to a hotel in Pipalkoti.

Day 11: Pipalkoti – Haridwar – Delhi (220 km /6 hr)
On Day 11, we will drive to Haridwar from Pipalkoti, covering a distance of 220 km in 6 hours. We will halt at Devprayag, the most important confluence of Panchprayags, where the waters of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi merge to form the Ganga. Once we reach Haridwar, we can proceed to take a holy dip at Har-ki-Pauri and enjoy the sublime pleasures of witnessing Ganga aarti before leaving towards Delhi. We will have an overnight journey.
